Please read these conditions carefully before making a booking

The terms are limited to Florida Owner Rentals and do not apply to terms and conditions in relation to any other person or company whose services are used by you or your party on any holiday.

Making a booking
The completed booking form, showing the names of all persons on whose behalf you are making a booking must be completed and signed by the party leader. The person signing the booking form confirms that he/she has the authority of all other persons included on the booking form to make the booking on their behalf and that he/she has read and accepted these Booking Conditions. A non-returnable deposit of 20% or minimum of £100 per week for each property booked is required at the time of booking. For bookings for other holiday arrangements deposits will vary and are not refundable. Deposits are accepted as part payment towards the total cost of the holiday. On receipt by Florida Owner Rentals of your completed booking form and deposit(s), we will reserve your holiday. Your booking is only confirmed and accepted in respect of all persons named on the booking form when Florida Owner Rentals dispatches an invoice to the person signing the booking form. It is important to check the details on the invoice and that all the dates are exactly as you requested. Florida Owner Rentals responsibility is to provide you with the holiday you have booked as confirmed to you and subject to these booking conditions. If you want to cancel or change your booking you may have to pay amendment or cancellation costs, which may be as much as the total holiday cost. 

Security deposits
A non-refundable Security Deposit Indemnity Insurance will be added to your final invoice at £2.85 per person payable with your balance. This covers accidental damage to the property or contents up to the value of £100. Please note this does not cover any exceptional or additional charges arising from the use of the property or accommodation, long distance telephone calls, excess cleaning costs, loss or failure to return keys, wilful or malicious damage, or other incidental charges you may incur.  At some locations a credit card imprint may also be required. 

Paying the balance 
Balances are payable in full 10 weeks before departure. For bookings within 10 weeks of departure the total rental amount plus security deposit is payable in full at the time of booking. If payment of the balance of the price of the holiday is not received by Florida Owner Rentals by the due date, Florida Owner Rentals reserves the right to cancel the booking for the holiday in which case Florida Owner Rentals is entitled to keep all deposits paid in respect of the holiday and you will have to pay a cancellation charge as though there had been a cancellation.
Florida Owner Rentals reserve the right to raise or lower its prices at any time before you book the holiday. Prices may vary in subsequent editions of the brochure and you should make sure you have been quoted the latest price. You will be advised at the time of booking.

Once you have booked and confirmation has been dispatched the price of the holiday is guaranteed except that Florida Owner Rentals may pass on to you, and you will have to pay, any tax, duty, levy, fuel surcharges or any increase in such tax, duty or levy that is charged by any government or other authority after the date your booking is confirmed and accepted. 

Changes by Florida Owner Rentals 
All brochure descriptions are made in good faith and every care is taken to ensure their accuracy. However, the brochures are necessarily prepared some time in advance and advertised facilities, amenities, entertainment and schedules may on occasion be restricted, curtailed, changed or cancelled. In these circumstances, we will if possible notify you of such changes. Florida Owner Rentals will not be liable for any such changes beyond its control nor shall any such event give rise to any refund or other claim whatsoever against Florida Owner Rentals. All prices in the brochure are subject to availability and change.
Advertised facilities for and by property owners may vary from those published. We will always try to advise you in advance of any changes before the holiday begins but cannot accept any liability to changes by owners or management companies to advertised facilities for property or accommodation.

Special requests 
We will endeavour to fulfil any special requests made at the time of booking, however, they cannot be guaranteed. 

Major alterations 
Major alterations are changes to accommodation type or holiday dates. Other changes will be deemed "minor". However, we take our obligations to you very seriously and will always try to meet them. On occasion circumstances beyond our control may mean we have to make such changes. Should it become necessary for Florida Owner Rentals to make a major alteration to your booking before the date of departure Florida Owner Rentals will notify the signatory to the booking form of any such change without delay. Where major alterations have to be made you will be offered the choice of accepting the alteration or of a full refund of monies paid. The refund will be made to the signatory on the booking form within fourteen days. Should it be necessary to make major alterations to your holiday on or after the date of departure due to circumstances amounting to Force Majeure the above shall not apply.  

Cancellation by Florida Owner Rentals 

Florida Owner Rentals is entitled to cancel your Holiday at any time, but will only do so prior to the date when the payment of the balance of the holiday is due or after the balance has been paid and if a cancellation is necessary or advisable in Florida Owner Rentals opinion because of circumstances amounting to Force Majeure.

If Florida Owner Rentals cancels your booking for any of these reasons, Florida Owner Rentals will notify the signatory to the booking form whenever possible, the reason, without unreasonable delay. If Florida Owner Rentals cancels your holiday for any of these reasons Florida Owner Rentals will offer you a choice of an alternative holiday or accommodation at least of a comparable standard, if available, or a full refund of all money paid. Such refunds will be made within fourteen days of the offer of refund being (or being deemed to be) accepted. 

Changes by you 
If you wish to make any changes to your holiday after the booking is confirmed we will do our best to help you. However, amendments to the choice of property may result in an amendment fee and or cancellation charges being applied. 

Cancellation by you 
Your cancellation can only be accepted if it is in writing from the person who signed the booking form. Cancellation will be effective from the date it is received and acknowledged by Florida Owner Rentals. We reserve the right to consider the booking cancelled if the balance is not paid 10 weeks before departure. It is recommended that notice of cancellation be sent by recorded delivery post. Cancellation charges will be calculated as set out below.

More than 10 weeks before departure. Deposit only.
8 to 10 weeks before departure. 50% 

6 to 8 weeks before departure. 75% 

0 to 6 weeks before departure. 100% 


Travel documents 
All passport, visa, travel insurance and health certificates are your responsibility and Florida Owner Rentals accept no responsibility for any delay or expense incurred through loss or any irregularities in your documents.

Travel arrangements 
Where we have made travel arrangements (ground or air) as part of the holiday we have done so as an agent. Such travel will be subject to the terms and conditions of the relevant operator. 

Complaints procedure 
If you have a complaint whilst you are on holiday, you must tell the local Management Company immediately. They will do their best to resolve any problem to your satisfaction on the spot. In the unlikely event that any complaint cannot be settled quickly, you should contact Florida Owner Rentals. Florida Owner Rentals cannot accept liability for any complaints that have not followed the above procedure and which are not received by us within 28 days of your return. Claims in respect of accommodation are limited to the total rental amount paid. 

General conditions 

Liability. We cannot accept liability for acts or omissions over which we have no control. This includes (but is not limited to) airlines, car hire companies, management companies and for loss or damage caused by Force Majeure events such as strikes, fire, flood, delays or any other events beyond our control.

Instructions and deposits taken by telephone and verbally confirmed are binding and will be subject to the same terms and conditions as written confirmations.

Refunds will not be made for services included in the holiday price that are unused after the departure date.
Any monies paid to an agent of Florida Owner Rentals is held by the Agent for and on behalf of Florida Owner Rentals. All guests will be responsible for behaving in a responsible manner and in accordance with local regulations. Florida Owner Rentals does not accept any responsibility for termination of travel or holiday arrangements due to guests causing distress, annoyance, damage or danger to others and therefore will not consider any claims for compensation. Florida Owner Rentals or the property owners cannot accept any liability for injury to guests or visitors to the homes or by use of swimming pools or for loss of property howsoever caused. Check in time is 4 pm. Check out time 11 am. Earlier check in depends on availability. Signing of the booking form constitutes acceptance of the terms and conditions on behalf of the party booked. The accommodation cannot be shared or sublet. All persons must be shown on the booking form. Strictly no pets; violation will incur extra cleaning charges and possible eviction. 

Clients are strongly advised to take out holiday travel insurance. 

"Booking or Holiday
Booking or holiday means the booking or holiday made by you or any person on your behalf that is named on the booking form. 

"Force Majeure" 
Force Majeure means any circumstances which are unusual or unforeseeable and are outside Florida Owner Rentals control including (but not limited to) war or threat of war, riot, civil strife, hostilities, political unrest, government action or airport regulations, industrial dispute, natural or other disaster, nuclear incident, terrorist activity, weather conditions, technical problems with transportation, closure of airports, fire, flood, drought, temporary equipment failure in villas, apartments or hotels. 

These conditions do not affect your statutory rights and are subject to English law and the jurisdiction of the English courts. 

Statutory Rights 
Your statutory rights are not affected. 

Security System 
Our payment systems collect card details using the highest level of encryption available on a Secure Socket Layer (SSL) server.

The following booking conditions form the basis of your contract with FLORIDA OWNER RENTALS. Whose registered office is Suite C, 177 Hall Green Road, West Bromwich, West Midlands B71 2DZ.

The Booking
Your contract becomes effective once you have paid the appropriate deposit and non-refundable Insurance (If required). Upon receipt of deposit a confirmation/invoice will be sent to you confirming the booking details. The balance of payment must be received by Florida Owner Rentals at least 10 Weeks prior to the date of departure. In the case of bookings made less than 10 weeks before the date of departure full payment must be made at the time of booking. If payment is not received within this time scale Florida Owner Rentals reserves the right to cancel the booking and apply charges as set out below in paragraph 4. 


Alterations by you
If once the booking has been accepted by Florida Owner Rentals you wish to make any alterations to the booking details e.g. change of name, departure date etc. We will do all we can to assist you although we do not accept any obligation to make the change, all changes must be made 42 days prior to departure. Any amendment or cancellation will incur a charge, as these vary with each individual Airline & Tour Operator please contact us to check the relevant charges.


Special Requests
We will try to honour Special Requests notified to us prior to departure but no guarantee can be given. If we are unable to honour any special request no compensation will be given.




ALAMO.  Important things you should know about your Alamo hire car and insurance÷ 

Third Party Liability Coverage Included in Silver & Gold Rate
Basic third party liability is included in all rentals and protects you or any authorised drivers should you injure or damage property up to the state limit.  Unlike Europe, where third party liability coverage is unlimited, each state in the USA establishes a minimum level of coverage, which may be as low as $10,000.  Coverage is increased with Extended Protection (EP) See below.


Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) Included in Silver & Gold Rate
CDW protects you from financial responsibility if the Alamo car should be stolen or damaged, regardless of fault - from the first dollar of damage (except in the state of New York which protects after the first $100).


Extended Protection (EP) Included in Silver & Gold Rate
EP Increases Third Party Liability from the state minimum up to £1,000,000.  EP also includes Uninsured Motorists (UM) benefits to the renter and any family member related by blood, marriage or adoption, up to an aggregate single limit of $100,000 per accident (for accidental death or injury should you be hit by an uninsured or under insured driver).


Uninsured Motorists Protection (UM) Included in Silver & Gold Rate
In the USA it is not uncommon for drivers to carry limited insurance cover or no insurance cover at all.  Unlike other rental companies Alamo Silver and Gold rate include this cover at no extra charge.

State, Local Taxes, Surcharges and Airport Fees Included in Silver & Gold Rate 


Fuel - A Tank is Included in Gold Rate
You will receive your car with a full tank of fuel.  Unless included in your rate package payment for this tank will be required at time of rental.  This does not apply to the Gold rate where the first tank of fuel is included and the vehicle should be returned with as little fuel as possible.  No refund will be given for fuel purchased but not used.

Additional Drivers Gold rate includes up to 3 additional drivers
Only authorised drivers listed on the Alamo rental agreement are permitted to drive Alamo rental cars.  Drivers must be present to show their valid driving license at the time of rental.  If not pre booked the cost is $5.99 per driver, per day.


Underage Drivers
All drivers must be aged 21 or over Drivers age 21-24 incur an additional charge of $20 per driver, per day.  In New York minimum rental age is 18 years.  Authorised drivers aged 18-20 years are subject to an insurance recovery fee of $45.93 per day.  This fee cannot be pre-purchased and is payable at the time of pick-up only. 


A credit card imprint will be taken at the time of hire to cover any additional charges.  Hirers will need a credit card. 


Infant Seats
Alamo provides infant seats at the time of rentals at $5 per seat, per day with a refundable deposit of $50.  This cannot be prepaid but if an infant seat is booked at the time of reservation availability is guaranteed.  It is required by law that all children 6 years and under must be seated in an infant seat.

24 Hour Money Back Guarantee
Alamo will do every thing possible to guarantee your complete satisfaction.  If for any reason you are not satisfied with an option you purchase locally at the time of pick-up simply return to any Alamo location within the first 24 hours of rental for a full refund of that option. 


One-Way Rentals
Rentals starting in one location and ending in another may incur a one-way rental charge and must be confirmed in advance.  One-way rentals within Florida or California are free of charge.  One-way rentals are not permitted in economy vehicles or between USA and Canada or visa versa. 

! Every driver must bring a full valid driving licence from country of residence.  Please present your prepaid car rental voucher to Alamo on arrival.

The majority of Dollar's locations are located in the airport terminal. To collect the car simply go to the Dollar Rent A Car counter after baggage reclaim. 


Renters must be at least 21 years old and hold a valid UK driving licence. Drivers under 25 years old are subject to an additional fee. The rates are available only when pre booked from the UK.  All rentals include unlimited mileage.  The Credit Card Holder must be the main driver.


Dollar has a large Fleet of primarily Daimler Chrysler cars, however, cars can be reserved only by car category and not by specific model.  If for any reason the car reserved is unavailable, Dollar will provide a similar or larger car at no extra cost.


It is important to reserve the right car for your party, however, upgrading to a larger car can be done at the time of rental, subject to availability.  The cost of the upgrade will be shown separately on the rental agreement.

Additional drivers must meet all rental requirements and pay the appropriate fee where applicable. 



By law, children under 5 years of age must be properly secured in a child passenger restraint.
IMPORTANT: Parents / Guardians will be asked to install these restraints themselves. 


The vehicle will be issued with a full tank of petrol and a charge made upon commencement of rental (except Gold Package), based on the average full service pump price for midgrade petrol, as stated by the American Automobile Association. The client should return the vehicle empty, as there will be no refunds for unused petrol. 

There are no charges for one-way rentals within participating locations in the States of Florida and California.  All other one-way rentals are subject to a drop charge and must be requested in advance. 

Cars may be driven into any State.  Some cars may be driven into Canada, but must be returned to the rental location in the USA


Clients who do not posses a major credit card, may be asked to leave a cash deposit. 


If any taxes, fees or restrictions are subsequently imposed, such as a "homeland security fee" or "customer facility charge," they will be added to the rental or collected from the customer at time of rental.  

Renters in New York remain liable for the first $100.00 of damage.  

Renters in Alaska remain liable for the first $500.00 of damage  

All locations, Terms and Conditions are subject to change without notice.  

Vehicle availability may be restricted and vehicle specification may be subject to change without notice. 

You agree that a cancellation notice cannot be given where the rental has commenced. Please note Cancellation notice must be given in writing. 



Any complaint for car hire must be received by FLORIDA OWNER RENTALS in writing withing 28 days of your drop off date.

Privacy Statement
We are committed to protecting your privacy and will only use the information that we collect about you lawfully and in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998. 

We collect information about you for 2 reasons: firstly, to process your order and second, to provide you with the best possible service. 

We will not e-mail you unless you have indicated your consent by registering or subscribing.  We will give you the chance to refuse any marketing email from us in the future. 

The type of information we will collect about you includes:

We will never collect sensitive information about you without your explicit consent. 

The information we hold will be accurate and up to date.  You can check the information that we hold about you by emailing or writing to us.  If you find any inaccuracies we will delete or correct it promptly.

If we intend to transfer your information outside the EEA (European Economic Area) we will always obtain your consent first. 

We may use technology to track the patterns of behaviour of visitors to our site.  This can include using a "cookie" which would be stored on your browser.  You can usually modify your browser to prevent this happening.  The information collected in this way can be used to identify you unless you modify your browser settings.
